Arts For Awareness
We are really proud to have been a part of this event. Not only was it a lot of fun, but it was also really interesting and uplifting to learn what other groups on campus are doing to combat and alleviate the suffering caused by HIV/AIDS, and how they are addressing other related issues. Change starts small and grows; the efforts of each small and dedicated group of people combine and multiply. Together, we present a united front and can help spread change faster than the virus which we are united against.
Thank-you to everyone who came out and participated- we hope you enjoyed the night and were inspired by the work that is being done.

3rd Annual Race for Dignity
November 15, 2008. This year we had another fun and successful Race for Dignity! Students and athletes from McGill braved the rainy and cold weather to stop by the Sports Centre and show their support for Dignitas International. We had participants spinning for at least 30 minutes, and for as long as 7.5 hours!! Movies, music and prizes kept everyone entertained throughout the day. Once again, it was wonderful to see people out and supporting the important work that Dignitas does. See everyone again next year!!
2nd Annual Race for Dignity
January 26, 2008. Woohoo! Dignitas McGill hosted its second annual Race for Dignity and it was another huge success! Students and athletes showed their support for Dignitas International's life-saving work by hopping on stationary bikes and peddling their hearts out. We asked each participant to raise a minimum of $10 in pledges, and our expectations were totally surpassed, with a number of students raising a couple hundred dollars each. It was great to see so many people doing their parts. See you all again next year!
World AIDS Week
This year at McGill, Dignitas Youth worked alongside other student groups concerned with public health issues to spread awareness about the HIV/AIDS crisis. "The Bicycle" was shown at a coffeehouse in the Arts Lounge on November 27 and also at the main event on November 30, preceding Dr. Mardge Cohen's keynote address and the candlelight vigil. Also on November 30, Dignitas members hosted a table in Leacock, providing information about the HIV/AIDS and encouraging passers-by to support the cause.
Red Party
November 10, 2007
The fundraiser at Benelux last night was a great success! The bar was packed with red-clad supporters and our musical friends really set the mood with some sweet tunes. We raised more than $450 and hopefully got more people interested in our cause. Great work team!
Trivia Night
October 11, 2007
A great time was had by all at last night's trivia night. With categories ranging from British history to American pop music, everyone had a shot at helping their team win the coveted prize of a free pitcher. Of course, HIV/AIDS trivia marked every round and attendees walked away with a better understanding about the health pandemic. Fun AND educational.
